Home Buyers Relo is an Illinois based real estate company specializing in relocations and practicing "exclusive buyer representation". We’re set apart from all of the others because as company policy, we never serve sellers and take no listings.
Founded in early 1991 by Merrill and Paul Ottwein, the company is in its 16th year without a listing but has served more than 2100 buyers purchasing homes in southwest Illinois.
Operating a traditional agency and disturbed with the fact that home buyers were usually unrepresented, (but often thought they were,) Merrill and Paul became early advocates of buyer representation…this “exclusive” variety.
Recognizing the strong relationship with relocations, and the growing popularity of several cities in SW Illinois as desirable relocation targets, they opened this 1st, and still only such specialized agency in SW Illinois. They offer service to all of the best of SW Illinois, serving companies on both sides of the river and Scott AFB, often working in concert with similar realty firms west of the river.
Offices are at 6620 Center Grover Road in Edwardsville, and at 515 W. Highway 50 in O’Fallon.
